Our flagship boutique in Edinburgh is strictly appointment only and our founder and leading extensions expert Rowan is in high demand. We recommend that you book a consultation with her in advance.
Private bookings off-site for high profile clients are available but must be booked with at least 4 weeks notice (dependent on availability). Travel fees including flights, hotels and other expenses are chargeable in addition to the cost of services.

About Hair Extensions
+ What type of hair extensions do you offer?
We offer a variety of types of luxury quality hair sourced from various locations globally; as well as a variety of temporary and semi-permanent connection methods to suit most budgets.
+ Can I colour my hair extensions?
Yes, as our hair is 100% human, it can be coloured. However, the bonds can’t be coloured. We will advise you on what is possible and what results you can expect to achieve.
+ How long do extensions last before they must be removed?
Removal / re-fit timeframes are dependent upon the state/condition of your natural hair, how well you have maintained your extensions and what type of extensions you have had app;ied. Methods such as tapes and micro-rings need to be re-fitted at least every 6 to 8 weeks. However fusion bonds require much less maintenance.
+ What will my hair be like when the hair extensions are removed?
Once you have had your extensions removed, your hair needs to be washed and conditioned to clean away any residue from the removal gel and bonds. If you have maintained your extensions well, there will be no damage.
+ Are your team trained in hair extension application?
Absolutely. And trust us, not all hair salons are. All of our technicians are Great Lengths certified hair extension experts with over 14 years experience in the application of extensions. They are fully qualified, certified, insured and absolutely love what they do.
+ How much do hair extensions cost?
We get asked about 50 times a day what our price list is - the simple answer is - our services are bespoke - so without the information above we cannot provide one. Here's how we calculate the price:
(Type of Hair / Amount required / colour & texture = cost of hair) + (time required to install) + (any other services required such as fresh colour by our colourist prior to install) = TOTAL COST
+ How long does application take?
This depends on how many extensions you are having installed, but we wouldn't recommend making any plans that day - it's not (and shouldn't be) a fast process. We will advise on estimated application time at your consultation.
+ Do I have to get a full head of hair extensions?
Not at all. We can apply as few extensions as you need to achieve the look you desire. Hair extensions can also be applied to add volume to thinning areas, or to add length to one specific area such as bangs or sides. The possibilities are truly endless, but we do warn you, there are no shortcuts. If you want more hair, you need more extensions.
+ What length does my hair need to be for hair extensions to be applied?
We recommend that hair is at least 12 cm or 5”. This allows the attachment sites to sit comfortably and be hidden.
+ What is Remy hair?
“Remy” hair is hair in which all the cuticles are running in the same direction from root to tip. All our extensions are made using only 100% virgin Remy hair. There are benefits to using Remy hair; it is easier to maintain, less likely to tangle and it blends well with your natural hair.
+ Are hair extensions suitable for everyone?
Most people, but not all, are candidates for hair extensions if they want them. Hair should be at least 12 cm or 5” in length to ensure comfortable, discreet attachments. There are some medical conditions that may leave a small minority of clients unsuitable for extensions but this is discussed during your initial free consultation.
+ What do I need to do to look after my hair extensions?
Because all our hair extensions are made from 100% human hair, your care routine will be very similar to your regular routine. You may find that you wash your hair less frequently. The bonds or tape-line must always be blow-dried immediately after washing, and the hair will need to be brushed thoroughly from root to tip twice daily. To preserve and ensure the longevity of the installation, it is also recommended to use After Care Products.
+ Are hair extensions difficult to style?
Because all Beyond Bond extensions are 100% human hair, they can be treated in just the same way as your own hair – straightened, curled, permed and even coloured.
